Car 15 at Somerton Station
Do you recognise your Grandmother?
This picture of a crowd of people on Somerton Station up platform was taken between 1906 when the line was opened and 1907 when this steam rail motor, Car 15 by Kerr, Stuart & Co of Stoke-on-Trent, was sold to the Nidd Valley Light Railway. It is possibly a photo taken on 2nd July 1906, the day the line was opened to passenger traffic.
The image was supplied by Dan Shorland Ball of Bineham Court.
